Emergency & Continuity

1. Overview

OrbitExSpace Inc. ("OrbitExSpace", "we", "us") prepares for things that go wrong. This page describes our emergency, incident, and continuity policies. The principles apply to our current operations and will extend to future mission operations as our programs mature.

2. Emergency and Contingency Operations

We maintain emergency procedures for our current facilities and field operations, with defined roles, communication paths, and response actions. For future mission operations, we will develop contingency plans for the credible failure modes of each mission, rehearse them where feasible, and maintain the authority and procedures needed to execute them.

3. Incident Reporting Policy

We encourage and protect the reporting of incidents, near-misses, and hazards. Anyone who observes an unsafe condition, a process failure, or a near-miss is expected to report it, and we do not retaliate against good-faith reporting. We treat each report as a signal worth understanding, not as a fault to be punished.

4. Accident Investigation Policy

We investigate incidents and accidents to learn, not to assign blame. Investigations are fact-based, documented, and result in corrective actions that are tracked to closure. Where an incident affects a regulated activity, we will report to the relevant authority in accordance with applicable law.

5. Business Continuity

We maintain business-continuity measures appropriate to our scale, including backup of critical data, redundancy for critical systems, and documented recovery procedures. We do not claim a level of resilience we have not tested; we maintain and exercise our continuity measures.

6. Mission Contingency Policy

For future missions, we will develop a mission contingency plan that addresses credible off-nominal scenarios, defines the response for each, and identifies the decision authority. Where a contingency could affect the safety of the public, other operators, or the space environment, we will coordinate with the relevant authorities.
