1. Overview
OrbitExSpace Inc. ("OrbitExSpace", "we", "us") may, from time to time, invite individuals to join our team. This Applicant and Careers Privacy Notice describes how we collect, use, and protect the personal data of individuals who apply for a role, express interest in working with us, or otherwise engage with our recruiting process.
This notice is provided in addition to our general Privacy Policy. Where this notice and the Privacy Policy conflict, this notice controls with respect to applicant and candidate data.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of applicant data:
- Identification and contact data — name, email address, phone number, location, and similar information you provide.
- Professional background — resume or CV, education, employment history, skills, references, and related materials you submit.
- Correspondence — the content of emails, messages, and notes exchanged in connection with your application.
- Assessment data — results of technical assessments, interviews, or work samples, where conducted.
- Demographic data — where voluntarily provided for equal-opportunity monitoring, in aggregated and de-identified form.
We do not collect sensitive data such as government identification numbers, financial account information, or health information as part of the initial application. Where such information is needed for a specific purpose (for example, background checks), we will collect it separately with appropriate notice and consent.
3. How We Use Applicant Data
We use applicant data to:
- Evaluate your application and suitability for a role.
- Communicate with you about your application and the process.
- Conduct interviews, assessments, and reference checks.
- Comply with legal obligations, including record-keeping and equal-opportunity reporting.
- Where you consent, retain your application for consideration for future suitable roles.
4. Legal Basis
We process applicant data on the basis of our legitimate interests in evaluating candidates and filling roles, the steps necessary to enter into a potential employment relationship with you, your consent where requested (for example, to retain your application for future roles), and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.
6. Retention
We retain applicant data for the duration of the recruiting process and for a reasonable period thereafter, to document the process and to consider you for future roles where you have consented. If you are not hired and you have not consented to future consideration, we will delete your application data within a reasonable period, unless retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your applicant data, and you may withdraw consent for future consideration at any time. To exercise these rights, contact careers@orbitexspace.com. We will verify your identity before responding.
8. Equal Opportunity
OrbitExSpace is an equal opportunity organization. Decisions about candidates are made on the basis of merit and ability, without unlawful discrimination. See our Compliance page for our full Equal Opportunity and Non-Discrimination Statement.
