1. Purpose and Scope
OrbitExSpace Inc. ("OrbitExSpace", "we", "us") is an independent engineering and research organization developing autonomous robotic systems and habitat infrastructure for the Moon and Mars. This Code of Conduct sets out the standards of integrity and professional behavior we expect from our people, partners, and anyone acting on our behalf.
Engineering for extreme environments demands uncompromising honesty. The systems we design must work without rescue, resupply, or a second chance — and the culture that builds them must be built on the same foundation: truth, rigor, and accountability.
2. Integrity and Honesty
We are committed to honesty in every aspect of our work. We do not misrepresent the state of our technology, the results of our tests, or the maturity of our programs. We communicate openly about what we know, what we do not know, and what we have not yet verified.
Specifically, we commit to:
- Reporting test results, performance data, and technical findings accurately and without selective omission.
- Acknowledging failures, anomalies, and unknowns rather than concealing them.
- Never claiming a capability, partnership, or achievement that does not exist.
- Disclosing conflicts of interest that could influence professional judgment.
3. Public Representation
We do not claim, and have never claimed, any partnership, endorsement, contract, or affiliation with NASA, ESA, or any other national or international space agency. We have not completed any spaceflight mission. We will not allow our brand, content, or representatives to suggest otherwise.
All public descriptions of our programs reflect work in development. We resist the pressure to overstate progress or to imply certainty where engineering work is ongoing.
4. Safety and Engineering Rigor
Safety is a design constraint, not an afterthought. We design systems to fail safely, we test to failure before we trust, and we treat every anomaly as a signal worth understanding. We do not ship work that has not been honestly evaluated against the demands of the environment it must survive.
Every individual at OrbitExSpace has the right and the obligation to raise concerns about safety, quality, or integrity — and to do so without fear of retaliation.
5. Respect and Inclusion
We are committed to a workplace and a community where people are treated with dignity and respect. We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or abusive conduct of any kind, regardless of role, seniority, or contribution.
We value diverse perspectives as an engineering asset. The hardest problems are solved by teams that disagree honestly and listen carefully.
6. Legal and Regulatory Compliance
We comply with applicable laws and regulations, including U.S. export control laws, data protection laws, and employment laws. We expect our partners and suppliers to uphold the same standards. Where local law differs from this Code, we apply the higher standard.
7. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property
We protect the confidential information of our company, our partners, and our correspondents. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect the same in return. We do not use or disclose confidential information except as authorized.
8. Raising Concerns
Anyone who becomes aware of a violation of this Code, or of any law, regulation, or company policy, is encouraged to report it. Reports may be made to a supervisor, to a designated compliance contact, or to conduct@orbitexspace.com. We treat reports in confidence to the extent possible and do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith.
9. Consequences of Violation
Violations of this Code may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of a relationship with OrbitExSpace. Where a violation also constitutes a breach of law, we may refer the matter to the appropriate authorities.
