Perception Intern — Field Robotics

Support perception and field-testing work on terrestrial autonomy testbeds as a 12-week internship.

Overview

As an intern you will embed with the autonomy team and own a well-scoped project end to end — typically a perception improvement that we can measure in the field. You will ship real code to real hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Own a scoped perception project with measurable field impact
  • Support field tests and data collection
  • Analyze results and present findings to the team

Requirements

  • Coursework or projects in robotics, perception, or computer vision
  • Working Python and C++ skills
  • Comfort working with real hardware and data
  • Enrollment in a relevant degree program

Nice to have

  • Prior robotics research or competition experience
  • Experience with ROS or similar middleware
  • Open-source contributions in perception or SLAM
